The goal of the faculty is the sustainable design of scientific and technical progress in the fields of

• Energy
• Mobility
• Maritime Technology and
• Biomedical Engineering

The focal points of the faculty are suitable to further develop unique scientific capabilities in a national and international framework. They also incorporate the development strategies of the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Marine Technologies currently offers four Bachelor's and five Master's degree programs.

The faculty pursues the following goals:

• Significant increase in the number of students, especially through increased acquisition of supra-regional students.
• Promotion of stays abroad by its own students
• Increasing the attractiveness of graduates for companies
• Improvement of the general conditions for students

The achievement of these goals is supported by various measures.
